“Time is Money” as the saying goes. To stay competitive it’s vital that our production process is FAST AND highly efficient. Feedback from many of our clients tells us that fast turnarounds with minimal administration and error free production is essential for almost all jobs. For these and other reasons we have created an on-line production system operating in real time that provides interaction for our staff, our clients and consumers (our clients client). The system is a totally free service and tailored to allow differing degrees of access and interaction. The main benefits and functions of the service are:

a) Automatic notifications by email at the main stages of production as follows:

  • Order creation
  • Receipt of goods
  • Receipt of artwork and/or where necessary artwork amendments and associated charges.
  • Paper proofing amendment and/or approval
  • Pre-production sample dispatch, amendment and/or approval
  • Completion of production or order cancellation
  • Order dispatch

b) Direct Customer and/or Consumer interaction for things like amendment instructions and/or approvals.
This significantly decreases Administration and massively speeds-up the production process. It also removes errors of communication common with other forms of communication. For example, where an email is delayed in the transfer process or even removed accidentally, for example, by anti-SPAM software

c) Order tracking
During production our Customers and the Consumers can Log-in at any time to track the order status as it progresses through our production system. Our Customers only can Log-in to view all orders past and present. This facility is available 24/7 making it the fastest, most convenient way to find out information and the status of a job.

d) Increased efficiency and lower costs
Interaction via the on-line production system minimises errors, minimises administration and speeds-up production. So orders processed through our on-line system transact and complete faster than orders outside of the system. The resulting increase with efficiency allows us to minimise costs and so keep our prices lower.

e) Delay notifications
If there is a delay with receipt of goods, artwork or instructions of approval/amendment the system automatically generates a warning email to advise all parties. This occurs on a daily basis. Therefore, it’s not necessary for individuals to remember (or forget!) to manually check for overdue jobs.

How it works

At every major stage of production email notifications that are specific to the job are sent to both the Customer and, where appropriate, the Consumer (our customers customer)

  1. Laserite receives an order from our customer.
  2. The order is logged to the system. Email notification is sent.
  3. Goods are received: Email notification is sent.
  4. Artwork is received or edited. Email notification is sent. If the artwork is edited then the costs are shown
  5. The Paper Proof is generated in PDF format. This is sent by email to both our Customer and the Consumer. Within this email is a LOGIN link that relates only to the specified job. The Customer OR the Consumer uses the LOGIN link to enter our system and provide instructions of approval or amendment. As the system receives an update by way of back-up our Production Manager is notified immediately.
  6. If requested, a Proof Sample is generated. Email notification is sent that again contains a LOGIN link that relates only to the specified job. The Customer OR the Consumer uses the LOGIN link to enter our system and provide instructions of approval or amendment. As the system receives an update by way of back-up our Production Manager is notified immediately.
  7. After final approval, the system updates automatically without any further human interaction. The job is immediately scheduled to our production.
  8. The job processes. Upon completion of production an email notification is sent.
  9. The order is packed and dispatched. Email notification is sent.
